NewYork-Presbyterian also comprises NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Division, NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.

Two Los Angeles children's hospitals scored among the highest in the nation, with Children's Hospital Los Angeles named the No. 1 children's hospital in the West, according to a U.S. News & World Report ranking.

The assessment of 189 hospitals relied on clinical data and a survey of pediatric specialists to identify the nation's top programs in various specialties.

The 10 pediatric specialties are cancer, cardiology/heart surgery, diabetes & endocrinology, gastroenterology, neonatology, nephrology, neurology & neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology. U.S. News and World Report looked at hospitals across the United States, giving them points based on how they ranked in 10 specialties. The list details institutions which are considered to offer the best care for complex and rare conditions that children can face. The methodology factors in patient outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, as well as available clinical resources and compliance with best practices.

Ranking first for the fourth straight year is Boston Children's Hospital. They are the only comprehensive source of quality-related information on US pediatric hospitals.
