Hitman 2 was confirmed by Warner Bros. early this morning. Agent 47 and Diana will continue their pursuit of the enigmatic Shadow Client and seek to dismantle his risky militia one target at a time. Elsewhere, Warner Bros. and IO referenced "sun-drenched streets to dark and unsafe rainforests" as possible locations.
Super fans can get in on the action ahead of the crowd because Sniper Assassin is available to play now as an early access bonus for customers who pre-order the Hitman 2 Standard, Silver, Gold or Collector's Edition.
Alongside the announcement trailer, IO Interactive has released a second trailer that details Sniper Assassin - a stand-alone online co-op game mode that tasks you and a friend to work together to take out targets.
The gameplay will once again consist of players venturing to exotic locations in an attempt to assassinate a high-value target. That episodic release from the last one kind of grew on me.
Hitman 2 launches on November 13th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. But there will still be "post-launch content coming afterwards". What do you think of the Hitman 2 announcement? From the looks of the trailer, the level might have the most number of pedestrians we've ever seen in a sprawling Hitman level.
EA Origin Access Premier subscription gets pre-launch games
EA just announced EA Origin Access Premier, a new version of its Origin Access subscription service that's launching this summer. Dive into the action starting February 15, 2019 for Origin Access Premier members.
"There's a new depth to our stealth mechanics in the game", said an IO Interactive developer during an interview with IGN.
IO Interactive officially pulls the curtain back on Hitman 2. Warner Bros. affirms the game's sandboxes will be much larger than the predecessor to offer unique ways to tackle targets.
Agent 47 may be about to run a marathon compared to the bite-sized missions issued by his previous employer just two years ago. It will also feature a co-op, Sniper Assassin mode.
We previously had an opportunity to sit down with IO Interactive/HITMAN Lead Writer Michael Vogt, a couple of episodes into the original HITMAN's release.
