Neymar made a stunning return to competitive football for Brazil in their friendly with Croatia at Anfield on Sunday, scoring a memorable goal just 98 days after suffering an injury he feared would keep him out of the upcoming World Cup in Russian Federation.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino wrapped the game up with a 93rd minute goal.

Firmino struck in the dying seconds to cap a successful outing for Brazil, who face just one more friendly with Austria next Sunday before their World Cup opener against Switzerland on June 17.

Croatia are Nigeria's first World Cup opponent in Russian Federation.

"With Coutinho, his ability was a good start and the goals he scored from outside the box were tremendously exciting".

Neymar, who withstood a few challenges in the game, received the ball from Philippe Coutinho in the 68th and dribbled past Croatia defenders Sime Vrsaljko and Duje Caleta-Car.

Trump accuses Mueller of 'meddling' in upcoming midterm elections
Giuliani told The Washington Post , "We need all the documents before we can decide whether we are going to do an interview". The former New York City mayor also said the President is "adamant" about doing a sit-down interview with Mueller.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar will play for the first time since February on Sunday, as he's expected to feature in Brazil's friendly against Croatia.

Brazil coach Tite brought on Neymar for Fernandinho at the break as he stepped up his recovery from a foot injury.

"Neymar is only human, but he came back above my expectations too", Tite said.

Brazil won the game 2-0.

After a low-key opening in the Liverpool sunshine, Brazil fashioned the first chance when Gabriel Jesus, captaining the side, led a counter-attack that ended when Willian's flick was scrambled away.

The Brazilians enjoyed most of the possession in the early stages but Croatia had the first chance after 13 minutes, but Dejan Lovren headed wide of the mark.
