Star and producer Ryan Reynolds had championed the project for years, despite serious missteps in the character's portrayal in 2009's criminally bad X-Men Origins: Wolverine and flagging confidence from Fox after Reynolds' turn in the disastrous 2011 DC project, Green Lantern.
It still has this kind of down and dirty feel, which I love, but it also has so many elements that I think are going to blow audiences away and surprise people.
The report predicts Ryan Reynolds' film to make between $130 million to $150 million in the United States, and an additional $175 million to $200 million in the rest of the world.
Deadpool, of course, helps us along the film's convoluted plot with such postmodern cracks as "Big CGI fight coming up!" or the put-down "That's just lazy writing" or, after a cool sequence, "Tell me they got that in slow motion".

There are a few "blink and you miss them" cameos to be on the lookout for, as well as a brilliant mid-credits scene you should really stay for, but there is no post-credits scene so don't wait up for that. "Which is not really Deadpool 3, but it's sorta a group effort". "It's too much. It's not sexy". Deadpool realized his error, and said "Right, right, allegedly".
Colbert: "We get the idea".
Deadpool 2 is now playing in cinemas everywhere.
