Deadpool 2 has the best mid-credits scenes in superhero movie history

Deadpool 2 is, if less of a surprise than its predecessor, just as amusing; if it's less sexy, that doesn't mean you're not going to get to see the protagonist walking around with no trousers.

The soundtrack arrives via Sony Classical on the same day as the film (Tuesday 15th May), featuring compositions from Guardians of the Galaxy maestro Tyler Bates. In addition to X-Force, of course.

It's just hard to tell, sometimes, which mode we're in at any given time. He told the press there that he thought any possibility of a Deadpool 3 would be unlikely. "Since "Deadpool" also has to do with wearing a mask, he ended up appearing on the show", she said. Fans may have noticed the formation of an X-Force in the Deadpool 2 trailers, but this X-Force movie would find Wade Wilson working in much more of an ensemble capacity.

Deadpool 2 is released in United Kingdom cinemas on May 15.

SNAP JUDGEMENT: Spain nearly banned from this weekend's Eurovision Song Contest
Israel has made the final round for the past four years consecutively, and has won the competition three times. The 29-year-old is a "classically trained pianist and oboist, who studied at the Royal Academy of Music".

When we catch up with Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool, he's busily planning babies with his lovely Vanessa (Morena Baccarin).

Again, that's hardly a confirmation that the Merc will return in a third solo outing, but it is, at the very least, a lot more optimistic of a reply than what we got before. The mood was extremely festive, and even Deadpool creators Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld were on hand to enjoy the countdown to one of the year's biggest superhero films. Despite the character's trademark flippancy, there's a real unexpected warmth to Deadpool 2. But when you meet him again, he's just more of the same and that's ... boring.

As directed by Atomic Blonde's David Leitch, there are some thrillingly unpredictable moments when the carpet is pulled from under you, amid all the obligatory yet still highly stylized action. "I think going forward it would be an X-Force movie, which would be his team, so to speak". It is awful how wasted the characters in the first film are here, but the new additions don't exactly fare much better. Are you walking into the same kind of costumed glut that threatened to turn the most recent Avengers film into Infinite War on Character Development? You want to have a good time?

Deadpool 2 leaned into the franchise's self-referential nature, skewering the entire superhero movie genre from the darkness of the DC Cinematic Universe to where all the other X-Men are while Deadpool, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead are hanging out around the X-Mansion. Following Wolverine's demise in Logan, Deadpool's focus has now shifted to Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. In-jokes and cameos hurtle at you faster than Cable shatters enemies' arms; the set-pieces, meanwhile, come served with aggressively expansive, duly outrageous (two words: baby legs) exuberance.
