AN off-duty cop has been hailed a hero after saving the lifetime of an toddler boy who had slumped unresponsive inside his mum's automobile.

A K-9 deputy on his way home from work Wednesday night saved the life of an unresponsive baby after he was flagged down by a desperate motorist while stopped at a traffic light.

The stunning video shows how quickly Nix chose to take action and direct the mother and driver to follow him.

Kingston's family says if it wasn't for their guardian angel being at the right place at the right time they don't know what could have happened. "I also think he made a good decision on taking that baby to the emergency room which was less than a mile away", posted Kimmy Hall.

Doctors credit Deputy Nix's with saving the child's life.

Dash cam video shows a Florida sheriff's deputy coming to the rescue of a mother and her 3-month-old boy Kingston. That prompted Nix to turn his auto around and pull over on the side of the road.

The deputy quickly pulled around to the woman's vehicle and began to perform life-saving measures on the child. Deputy Nix delivered the child to medical personnel, who then began treating the child.

"Together with his quick pondering HE & GOD saved my son.... after his shift he and his lovely spouse got here to see him once more". It's always the negative that makes headlines.
