'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' 'The Last Man on Earth,' 'The Mick' cancelled

Brooklyn Nine-Nine reached its 100th episode milestone this season, making it Fox's second longest live-action comedy after New Girl, which is also getting canceled.

This is a rough turn of events for a whole bunch of TV comedy fans, so we wanted to give you folks a place to mourn the loss of these shows.

The revelation that cop comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine had been cancelled by Fox was met with furore all over social media yesterday. Following the characters involved and the rather odd cases that they find themselves solving, the show gives audience members a humorous look into the workplace of the 99th precinct and the personal lives of all those involved. "THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS" while Meyers said that the show being cancelled along with The Last Man on Earth was a "double gut punch".

However, if Hulu doesn't scoop up Brooklyn Nine-Nine, there are others that just might including TBS which bought the off-network rights to the show last December.

Most sitcoms in their fifth season are showing signs of starting to flag, after typically peaking around the 2-4 mark.

The show was created by Parks and Recreation creators Dan Goor and Michael Schur.

Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio and Chelsea Peretti rounded out the cast. Though the show has a loyal following, the series has never had stellar ratings. We have the best fans.

Obviously, because Brooklyn Nine-Nine is available to stream on Hulu, it would make more sense for Hulu to revive the series for another season or multiple seasons.

While Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a sad cancellation, it's possibly not that surprising.

An episode about Brooklyn Nine-Nine's characters Jake and Amy's wedding will close out the show as the series finale, airing May 20 on Fox in the USA and on Netflix in Australia.
