Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he will discuss a new contract with Manchester City after clinching the Premier League title, but will only continue at the club as long as he has "the strength and energy".

The Welsh side tackle Manchester City on Sunday and while safety can not be assured this weekend, even with an unlikely win, they are confident it is just a matter of time. "But the Liverpool game (s) showed us that we are not a flawless team".

"If we want to be realistic, with five games to go it is not simple to reduce the gap but we must have the will to fight", said the 48-year-old.

"It's been a dream ever since I was a kid growing up playing football with my mates and winning it means everything".

Guardiola's side have dominated this season's competition to such an extent that they have a series of records - all held by Chelsea - in their sights over the final month's fixtures.

Dry for the weekend, rain returns Monday
Lows should generally be in the low 30s but there might be some isolated upper 20s, certainly in sheltered valley locations. The center of the high pressure system will move off the coast allowing our wind direction to become more southerly.

"Why not? We have an important game against Burnley, a really strong team having a fantastic season, and it won't be easy to get three points". I handled that and I know I have to press more. It will be a good test for all of us to see what will happen next season'.

The manager, though, is concerned his squad's performance levels will drop, now that they effectively have only pride left to play for this term.

Believe it or not, people actually doubted Guardiola's credentials when he joined the Premier League after spells with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but the past eight months has well and truly silenced those sceptics.

"That's why it would be nice to finish good". What I have lived, what I have felt this season, it is something unbelievable. "But athletes need a target". After that maybe in Europe we can do that.

The PFA have revealed their 2017/18 Premier League Team of the Year - and Sergio Aguero is finally in it. "For the first part of the rehabilitation, he is going to be there".
