NWS: Slightly warmer, sunny on Virginia Peninsula Wednesday

A spring storm that moved through MI dropped snow on parts of the state, creating slippery driving conditions in places while missing others entirely.

Tucson's high hit 95 degrees at Tucson International Airport for the first time this year at 2:59 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Carbon and Lehigh counties are under an enhanced threat for fire spread due to the dry air and winds expected to gust up to 25 miles per hour. Overnight temperatures are forecast to dip into the upper 20s, but that will be the last time the mercury in Buffalo will dip below the melting point for almost a week, forecasts show.

The work week starts off with more of the same with highs in the mid 40s but it's Monday night where we'll get a dose of snow.

It's a mixed bag of bad weather in Connecticut Tuesday morning, with some places getting snow and others getting rain.

The rain/snow mix is expected to continue Tuesday, with the high expected to reach 49.

In the metro area today and Thursday, expect mostly to partly sunny skies with high temperatures in the lower 60s to mid-70s.

Friday and Friday night, there are chances for showers and thunderstorms with a daytime high around 70 and a low around 35.
