He appeared in court in NY on Friday charged with assault and criminal mischief. The former could send him to jail for as long as 11 years, but former prosecutor Julie Rendelman believes McGregor won't see the inside of a jail cell at all.

"I think Khabib, one of the fighters, disrespected one of his friends".

The fallout from the melee has seen three fighters sidelined from their bouts this weekend, while Artem Lobov has been pulled from the card by UFC for his alleged involvement.

McGregor and his entourage of about 20 people were let into the arena through a door during a media-day event by someone affiliated with a credentialed website, UFC president Dana White told the website MMAjunkie. At one point, video from inside the bus shows a hand truck smashing through the bus windows, cutting UFC fighter Mike Chiesa's face.

"They opened the doors for them, through an entrance, they stormed the building, got down to the loading docks where the fighters were getting on the buses and started to attack the buses, throwing trash cans and dollies and things like that", White said.

Defense attorney Jim Walden asked that McGregor, who is from Ireland, be allowed to keep his passport so he can travel and "pursue his craft".

The incident injured at least two fighters and botched four fight cards set for UFC 223.

And Eriksen added: "He celebrated like it was his goal so I will have to take his word for it". "I think after his injury he played 90 minutes and that's going to help".

McGregor spent Thursday night in a Brooklyn police station, after surrendering, and was escorted to a criminal court in handcuffs. Bail was set for Cowley at $25,000.

In respect to defendant Cawley, he is also captured on video surveillance judge and he also throws a metal chair to the window of the bus.

In a tweet Saturday, McGregor's agent Audie Attar lamented "rumor and misinformation" surrounding McGregor but did not elaborate.

FOOTBALLER Joey Barton does not fancy Khabib Nurmagomedov's chances if he is to meet Conor McGregor in the UFC octagon.

"It was scary, scary for everybody", witness and UFC fighter Felice Herring said.

And while Dana White does seem to be upset about his actions, there's no way they don't capitalize on this. He goes on to add that the commission do not recognise this as a title fight, but if Iaquinta was to win... they would award him the lightweight title.

McGregor last competed eight months ago, losing to undefeated Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match that reportedly paid Mayweather more than $100 million and McGregor at least $30 million. He sounded hopeful and said that Conor is eager to fight again as soon as possible.
