Are you heading out to watch the Genesis Open action at Riviera Country Club in person this week?

Former world number one Tiger Woods has vowed to give his playing partners the cold shoulder, if he's in contention at this week's Genesis Open in Los Angeles.

Thomas, the reigning PGA Tour player of the year, is among several players who were getting seriously hooked on golf about the time Woods was winning tournaments at a rate never seen. He's coming off a missed cut at Pebble Beach, where putting plagued him during the second round.

"A lot of that's me because I got hurt and didn't play, but he's obviously gotten a lot better, he's worked on his game, he's won tournaments while I've been out". Live coverage begins on Thursday from 2.30pm on Sky Sports Golf and 4pm on Sky Sports Main Event.

"He said that was the year before I was born".

"I listened", Thomas said. "It is so much fun to play and I'm really looking forward to playing this year". "This is just a golf course that you get excited to go and play". It also has deep Hollywood roots, from being featured in films such as Follow The Sun, The Caddy and Pat and Mike, to including a membership that is a who's-who of the biggest box office names from the past hundred years.

The reports attribute the alleged casualties to a recent United States airstrike and put the figures between 100 and over 600. The clash is believed to be the deadliest incident between United States and Russian citizens since the end of the Cold War.

"I'm trying to win a tournament". This will be just his 16th PGA TOUR start since the end of the 2010 season.

The 14-times major victor acknowledged on Tuesday that he felt sore after playing four rounds at Torrey Pines this year but that this time it was not his back that bothered him. Comfort with success - I'd say that's a recipe for holding a trophy again. Because in a tournament setting, things are ramped up and I could feel some of the things were off and was able to work on them.

Woods added that he would love to compete for the United States Ryder Cup team as a vice captain in September, but acknowledged he has a long way to go with his game before that can be considered a potential reality. McIlroy missed the cut last week. This year's US Amateur will be contested at Riviera.

Woods said he thought 20-something players like Thomas are starting to see him as a competitor thanks to his two solid outings in the unofficial Hero World Challenge and at Torrey Pines.

He struggled at first despite dropping a hint with T25 in 2011 but in the last two years he's broken par in all eight rounds, finishing T11 in 2016 and T8 last year when dropping out of the payout places with a bogey at 18 although he still signed for an excellent 66 on Sunday. After missing the cut at the CareerBuilder Phil has knocked off three straight cuts in a row with his last two starts netting a T-5 and a runner-up last week. "This is all still new to me and I want to be smart about it".

Matt Kuchar: Hasn't finished better than T8 here in his last 10 appearances, and despite a T62 at Pebble Beach, he still comes in to this event with three top-10s in his last four starts.
