Six West Bromwich Albion players have been struck down by a flu bug ahead of Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round match against Liverpool, manager Alan Pardew said.

The new assistant referee system has been designed with the objective of giving the matchday referees the ability to look at key incidents again and put a contentious decision right.

"There are so many things around a big club like Liverpool, a lot of things to talk to me about and things like that, so that's the job to do". It may be slightly more hard than people expect with the Merseyside club having only tasted victory in two of their last seven home games in the competition, but a different kind of atmosphere is likely to be generated under the Anfield lights, edging the advantage in Liverpool's direction.

Ings has struggled with injuries but is now in line to star in the Reds' FA Cup fourth round encounter with West Brom this weekend.

"They all have the opportunity to play and keep shape and rhythm". It's clear we have to do that, we've done it plenty of times and we have to do it again.' That was my problem after that game.

"We'll have to see how we go overnight to really assess the team".

"Alberto Moreno is back in training".

The FA Cup no longer carries the prestige it once did now that modern football has become overwhelmed with wealth at the highest level, particularly in the Premier League and Champions League, hence the increased focus on those competitions.

Robertson, who signed from Hull City in the close season, has started nine of Liverpool's last 10 games and the 23-year-old Scot has added energy and aggression from the back.

Seeing as it is also their best chance of lifting silverware this season, the Reds should be up for the game, and Anfield is always lively for an evening kick off, which should help the home side.
