But the success of NBC's recent "Will & Grace" return likely cemented the idea, and put an "Office" reboot on the fast track.

NBC is looking to revive The Office for the 2018-2019 television season, with the network already said to be looking for a new Michael Scott to lead the possible revival.

Sources claim "The Office" revival would feature a mix of old and new cast members, though it's not clear which original stars will be returning to the show.

Series star Steve Carell would not be involved in this new installment, which would continue the misadventures of the officemates at the Dunder-Mifflin paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

"I've talked to Greg [Daniels, Executive Producer] four times over the past few years".

The network is in talks to bring back The Office, according to a TV Line report. It's always, "Maybe someday, but not now".

NBC did not comment to TVLine to confirm any details of the story. "And if he were to be in charge of it, I can't imagine that I wouldn't want to help out in some way, or write, and I feel like probably the rest of the cast feels the same".

'I don't think it'll ever happen, ' she said.

The Office also starred Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling, B.J. 'I would do it if there was some circumstance where everybody got back together, and could be brought back together in some wonderful way, I would say yes.

It's unknown just how far along the project is and whether casting announcements will be coming soon, but if NBC is expecting a return in 2018 then it's reasonable to assume more The Office news will follow shortly.
