Collectively, there are now two wake-up commands for Google's digital assistant. The feature began rolling out for some users back in October, but it appears this is happening on a universal scale. And as a user, you'll soon be able to access more of your favourite services and content using the convenience of Google Assistant.
Now, if you couple those price drops with Google's trade-in discounts, you could get up to $500 off something like the Pixel 2 XL.
"Its not that the fingerprint scanner works slower because I feel the vibration very fast after I put my finger on the scanner but than it takes really long before the screen actually turns on", one Pixel 2 XL owner writes on Google's support forum. All users need to do is to say "Ok Google, find me a plumber", to let the Assistant show apt results on the connected Android handset. After retraining, Google Assistant will recognise both "Ok Google" and "Hey Google".Those users who have not received the notifications can go to the Assistant's settings to retrain the voice model.
In case you're using voice commands on your phone, you'll see a notification asking you to perform a new setup for the feature, so that "Hey Google" can be enabled. Were you satisfied with the unique "OK Google" one or were wishing for more commands?
Salvation Army surpasses match goal
But those goals have been a little more hard to meet in recent years. "We have a goal to make this a bigger year than last year". But that would also trigger the $25,000 anonymous donation, bringing the total up to $95,000.
Eligible developers can also join the Google Assistant Developer Community Program to get started with building apps for the Google Assistant. If yes, then Google is now trying to sort this out.
Only recently, the search engine giant made Assistant available on the older Android versions.
For years now, Google has always retained the crown of having the best software on its Nexus and Pixel phones.
