Media reports have said he and Sherra Wright attended the same church.

The body of Wright, 34, was found badly decomposed in a field in southeast Memphis in July 2010, and investigators found evidence of shell casings from different calibers at the scene.

Fox 13 reports Sherra Wright was arrested Friday at her home in California on suspicion of first-degree murder. His body was found 10 days later.

In the early morning of July 19, a police dispatcher in the suburb of Germantown received a call from Wright's cellphone.

Billy R. Turner was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Tuesday.

Wright's mother told The Commercial Appeal that a police official told her Wright-Robinson will be charged with first-degree murder, the same charge Turner faces.

Wright-Robinson only added to the suspicion when she had spent nearly all of the money from the life insurance policy he took out on himself six months before his death.

Wright, who had bullet fragments lodged in his skull, chest, and right forearm, was found in a field near the woods in the height of summer, complicating the investigation because evidence had likely deteriorated in the heat.

But dispatchers didn't alert patrol officers or commanders because they couldn't confirm it came from their jurisdiction.

Lorenzen Wright's murder remained one of Memphis police's highest-profile cold cases until investigators found a murder weapon in MS last month.

The affidavit said she gave the statements to police in the Memphis suburb of Collierville, where she lives, on July 27 - nine days after he left her house for the last time. The indictment claims that Wright would have been killed sometime between the 17th and 20th of July 2010.

Wright averaged 8.0 points and 6.4 rebounds in 778 games in his playing days with the Los Angeles Clippers, Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Sherra Wright, the ex-wife of slain NBA basketball player Lorenzen Wright, grieves at the casket of Lorenzen Wright during a memorial service at the FedExForum in Memphis in 2010.
