Collider reported that those comic book runs are Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes.

Venom is written by Jumanji writer Scott Rosenberg and The Dark Tower screenwriter Jeff Pinkner. Thankfully, he has a plethora of Venom comic book arcs and issues to draw from.

Woody Harrelson (the Hunger Games franchise, True Detective) is in talks to join Tom Hardy (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) in Sony's Venom movie, according to Variety.

Iron Dome intercepts missile fired from Gaza to Israel
Two Palestinians were killed early Saturday in Israeli strikes at locations south of Gaza City, said the Ministry of Health. Iron Dome air defense system intercepted the missile, and no one was hurt.

"Venom: Lethal Protector" follows the events of an agreed truce between Venom and Spider-man, with the former moving to San Francisco after the fact. The mysterious organisation wanted to harness the power of Brock's symbiote and create five new deadly spawns - Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.

In Planet of the Symbiotes, published two years later and penned again by Michelinie, Earth is invaded by an army of symbiotes, forcing Venom, Spider-Man, and Scarlet Spider to team up to stop them and investigate a series of murders that Venom believed himself to have committed. This storyline also finds serial killer Cletus Cassidy bonding with his own red symbiote suit to become Carnage.

Tom Hardy may have been absent in Sony's special presentation at Brazil's Comic-Con Experience, but he left a present for the fans in attendance in the form of a recorded message with a few details including the source material of his upcoming movie "Venom". Attached as producers are Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal, with Palak Patel and Eric Fineman overseeing the project for Columbia Pictures. In addition to the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel for 2019, the Venom solo movie for next October and the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, a spinoff film is in the works for villains/antiheroes Silver Sable and Black Cat.
