According to the police report filed yesterday, witnesses saw Swann jump out of a vehicle and chase his wife back into said auto -supposedly they had been arguing over a wrestling match she had been a part of earlier. Saturday night where he was charged with falsely imprisoning and battering his wife, Vannarah Riggs.
Yesterday morning, Cruiserweight and 205 Live Superstar Rich Swann was arrested on charges of kidnapping and false imprisonment and also faced battery charges.
According to Gainesville Police, Swann was arguing with his wife, who is also a wrestler.
Riggs then exited the auto in the middle of traffic which led to Swann grabbing her by the arm and then around her neck.

Witnesses also reported seeing Riggs yelling for help and Swann putting her in a headlock, putting her back in the vehicle and driving off. "The auto was not in park and continued to roll until it hit a telephone pole", the complaint said. According to wrestling news site PWInsider, Swann was released from prison December 10 and the case has been assigned to a judge. She "got scared that the argument was going to escalate and got out of the auto".

The WWE issued a statement via its website December 10 that Rich Swann is indefinitely suspended because of the organization's zero-tolerance domestic violence policy. Riggs told police she was afraid of Swann because he "has a temper sometimes", the complaint said. Swann was a part of the WWE cruiserweight division and held the championship from the end of 2016 to the beginning of 2017, according to the WWE's website.
