According to LAPD: Residents by Casiano Rd, Moraga, & Linda Flora in West Los Angeles being evacuated/are evacuated for the 405 brush fire.

Shortly before 7 a.m., the California Highway Patrol closed the entire 405 Freeway between the Ventura (101) Freeway and the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, along with on-ramps and off-ramps and freeway transition roads in the affected area. The Skirball Fire is in mostly residential areas causing evacuation, and UCLA students were given the option to go to class.

The fires in Southern California have quickly spread, forcing authorities to shut down the 405 freeway near the Getty Center.

The area is in the vicinity of the devastating 1961 "Bel Air fire" that destroyed about 500 homes. Crews were working against 25 miles per hour winds, though authorities said the fire was traveling uphill and was driven by the landscape and not the wind. "We don't have a good feel on which direction this fire is heading", Stewart said. The fire jumped the 210 Freeway and burned in Shadow Hills to the south, where residents scrambled to evacuate hundreds of horses, alpacas and other animals. Strong winds were hindering the deployment of firefighting aircraft, according to fire officials.
