SNL Skit Imagines A Christmas Carol Starring Trump, Flynn

Last week's political news cycle reached a fever pitch on Friday after Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Republican Senators passed their controversial tax reform bill. Also in the cold open, McKinnon plays White House counseler Kellyanne Conway, and Cecily Strong plays first lady Melania Trump.

The show's cold open, inspired by Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", featured Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump as Scrooge, being visited by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn in chains, played by "SNL" cast member Mikey Day.

In his warning to Trump, Bush (Alex Moffat), who was sacked a year ago from NBC after the infamous Access Hollywood tape, even referenced Matt Lauer, who was also recently terminated from the network following accusations of sexual misconduct. Trump knows he did something wrong, so he lists off a bunch of his controversies, but Flynn is here to get him "to come clean for the good of the country".

"I meant someone American", Baldwin explained, referring to Trump's erroneous "birther" crusade.

Former Yemen rebel ally Saleh calls for talks with Saudi Arabia
In March 2015, warplanes from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and other allies began airstrikes on rebel positions in Yemen.

Three guests then visited. If you worked at NBC right now you would be fired, fired, fired. "And frankly, I'm looking pretty good in the NBC news division" - a roundabout dig at Matt Lauer (the episode later featured overt jokes about the former "Today" show host ousted this week over sexual misconduct allegations).

"Before all this, I had a great life, Donald", the SNL Flynn says.

"Listen, we put a lot of work into you...and you're about to mess it all up", Bennett's Putin told him.

Next, Beck Bennett returned as Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying, "Donald you can't hide from me, I see and hear everything you do". At first, though, Trump think Steve Bannon is under the cloak. Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon) is delighted as she talks about Trump's demise and says "lock him up!"
