Broncos to start Paxton Lynch at QB against Raiders

Denver traded up to select Lynch in the first-round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but the former Memphis star has had issues adjusting to the speed of the NFL and playing in a pro-style offense. The two teams also share an O/U of 1-4 in their last 5 meetings. Quarterback play has been a liability for the Broncos all season. He replaces Brock Osweiler, who started the last three games and finished with a 65.5 quarterback rating.

Lynch, who is a team's first-round pick in the 2016 draft, is now healthy after battling a shoulder injury he sustained during a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on August 26. Starting Lynch now, provided he's able to stay healthy, should give the team an extended look at the second-year player they hope can assume the franchise quarterback role long-term. He completed 59 percent of his passes in those games for 497 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

We'll find out just what he can do Sunday. He showed flashes during training camp this summer, where he competed with Siemian for Denver's starting job, but Lynch never seemed to fully grasp the offensive concepts. Prior to that Trevor Siemian went 3-4 with nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Iranian charged for Game of Thrones hack
The indictment did not say whether Mesri was working on behalf of the Iranian government when he hacked HBO. He has not been taken into custody and the feds are trying to track him down.

Lynch said this past week: "I feel like mentally I've taken a step forward".

The move comes after the team fired offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Monday morning and lost their sixth consecutive game on Sunday.
