An American auto manufacturer has travelled all the way to Dubai to showcase their latest offering, a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
The sports vehicle will be available in spring of 2018 and will challenge other popular models with new features and colors, Chevrolet said.
According to reports, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 will be powered by a new LT5 supercharged engine. That means more than a Pagani Huayra Roadster (with 754 HP), more than a McLaren 720S (with 710 HP), and more than a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat (with 707 HP). As such, it features 755 horsepower and 715 pounds per feet of torque. That larger displacement supercharger should in theory take care of the Z06's overheating issues, as it won't have to spin as quickly to produce the same forced induction pressure.
Chevrolet has not yet announced acceleration figures for the 2019 ZR1 yet. This upgrade installed racing-grade suspension, braking, and cooling components, along with a heavy-duty 4-speed manual transmission. As a powertrain mechanic with seven gears or automatic eight.
Also available for the new Corvette ZR1 is the Sebring Orange Design Package. With the automatic, you get a set of paddle shifters, but they're mounted to the steering wheel rather than the steering column.

That's right, you can have the ZR1 in two aerodynamic configurations. An optional two-way adjustable high wing is estimated to add 431 kg of downforce for increased high-speed stability and faster track lap times.
Trump says he will never call N Korea leader 'short and fat'
Trump has traded insults and threats with Kim in the past amid escalating tensions over Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs. Several weeks later, North Korea fired three short-range ballistic missiles, not toward Guam, but rather into the Sea of Japan.
Still, as you'd hope, that's not to say that the converse isn't true in either case.
A low wing package decreases downforce in comparison, but it's with this package that the claimed 210mph top speed can be achieved.
Said "High Wing" is available via the ZR1's "Performance Package", along with an angrier front splitter, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, plus specific chassis and Magnetic Ride Control damper fettling "for greater cornering grip".
A strong engine to be sure, but in comparison to the 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1 it simply can not compete. Among other models debuting in Dubai is the truly jaw-dropping and neck-snapping Devel Sixteen, a hand-built monster delivering 5,000 horsepower and topping out somewhere north of 310 miles per hour. It will have more horsepower than a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ferrari 488 GTB or the exotic Ford GT.
There's one big number we still don't know.
Chevrolet returned the Corvette ZR1 to the lineup for 2009.
Versus the single-bumper opening on lesser Corvettes (even the Z06), the ZR1 gets three massive openings plus what appears to be a fourth one tucked above the road-hugging splitter.
