Despite being a familiar promo stop from many of Swift's peers, the singer apparently hasn't deemed it necessary for her past three album cycles.

This newscaster's reputation certainly won't suffer after getting approval from Taylor Swift herself.

It was Swift's first appearance on Saturday Night Live since 2009 and the singer's first public performance of any song off the new album.

Her performances were hyped up consistently throughout the week and our main point of curiosity was whether or not she was going to open with established hits from the album or go instead with some material from the album that hasn't had as much play.

In Reputation, fans and music writers saw hints of her ex-boyfriends Calvin Harris and British actor Tom Hiddleston as possible subjects in the tracks "I Did Something Bad" and 'Dancing with Our Hands Tied'.

Butch Jones out, Brady Hoke takes over at Tennessee
Before the 2017 season, Jones had led Tennessee to two nine-win seasons during the 2015 and 2016 season, respectively. Tennessee, which opened the season ranked 25th, has lost its first six SEC games by an average margin of 21.2 points.

Just what we were hoping for!

"Absence only makes the heart grow fonder, though, and Swift crushed her performance last night. The pop star fully embraced her "New Taylor" persona, wearing an edgy all-black outfit, complete with shorts, a crop top, and a snake-adorned microphone as she sang ".Ready for It?". Swift stripped down her romantic track "Call It What You Want", singing it acoustically as she sat on a dim stage strumming her guitar.

And for the portion of the internet sick of Swift's tendency to play the victim, look no further than "reputation" for evidence to support your annoyances.

Swift dropped her (pretty much guaranteed to be No. 1) sixth album on November 10, and followed it up immediately with the live premieres of "Ready For It" and "Call It What You Want" on SNL.

So do we, Taylor.
