Longtime Louis CK Collaborator Pamela Adlon Is 'Devastated' Over Sexual Misconduct Scandal

In addition to their work on FX as love interests on Louie, the amusing duo co-starred as spouses on HBO's sitcom Lucky Louie.

Pamela Adlon recently released a statement after her good friend and partner, Louis C.K., admitted to sexually assaulting multiple women in the past. "By the time I want to do it, I could call [FX] up and say, 'I'm ready, ' and they could say, 'Who is this?'"

Onetime Louis C.K. champion FX will no longer have anything to do with the comedian in light of his admission of sexual misconduct. I feel deep sorrow and empathy for the women who have come forward. "I am processing and grieving and hope to say more as soon as I am able", she said.

The New York Times published a piece early Thurday alleging that C.K. had repeatedly asked women he encountered in work-related environments to watch him masturbate.

The network that made Louis C.K. a powerful auteur is backing away. Many fans are shocked by the gulf between his on-stage persona and his real life behaviour: the "feminist" man decrying sexism and harassment on stage while allegedly abusing women behind closed doors. The film is said to feature an uncomfortable scene with an uncanny relation to the allegations leveled against C.K.

Ten were hospitalized and one person "with additional health issues" died, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times . Orange County health officials say they have been notified of eight cases of the disease in the month of September.

During a joint appearance discussing the new season of "Better Things", at the Television Critics Association summer 2017 press tour in Los Angeles, Louis C.K. praised Adlon as a writer, actor and collaborator, calling her "my most reliable sounding board". His FX shows established him as a uniquely frank and creative force, defining his brand of often uncomfortable comedy while also influencing a wave of other artists who developed projects based on their personal, and sometimes embarrassing, experiences.

Kay has since parted ways with Louis C.K., announcing late Friday that he no longer represented the "Louie" creator. It's really hard and it's confusing and I hate the whole thing.

Louis C.K., who has been accused of sexual misconduct by five women. It also said it was reviewing the matter.

The company believes Louis' job right now isn't to make TV shows, but it is to address the scandal and begin the healing process which he already started by apologizing to the women in question. "As far as I'm concerned, before we talk about art, we should listen to them".

Netflix-which is now streaming five C.K. stand-up specials, including his latest from earlier this year-has not yet responded to the allegations.
