Children hurt when stairwell collapses in San Diego

Almost two dozen people including 21 children were injured in an accident on Saturday when a wooden platform at a California gymnasium suddenly collapsed. Twenty-one children were also taken to hospitals, Ysea said.

SDFD spokesperson Steve Wright told reporters that three or four of the victims may have suffered spinal injuries and were immediately transported to the hospital in "more serious" condition, according to CBS 8.
