Hardware-wise both the Xperia R1 and the Xperia R1 Plus share a lot in common. The devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor. Both the Sony Xperia R1 & Xperia R1 Plus comes with the similar design. Dubbed as Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus these devices have been targeted at mid-segment customers.

The Sony Xperia R1 is a dual-SIM phone with both SIM slots compatible with 4G and VoLTE. Both of them will be put for sale starting from November 10 on various stores across the country. Unfortunately, unlike some of Sony's more expensive devices, there aren't any front-facing speakers to be seen here. The Xperia XZ1 is notably among the first batch of phones to ship with Google's latest and greatest Android Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. These phones also pack a 2620mAh built-in battery. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor. Dimension wise, the handset measures 146 x 73.2 x 8.89 mm. The display has a 2.5D curved glass on top. We are wondering as to why Sony had to name them differently when in fact it could have launched a single smartphone with different storage and RAM variants like Xiaomi does.

America's National Parks Could See Increase in Entrance Fees
The fees will also cover the administrative costs of receiving, reviewing, and processing CUA applications and required reports. Federal law requires that 80 percent of all entrance fees collected at a national park be spent on maintenance at that park.

The only difference in these smartphones is between their RAM+Storage configuration, Sony R1 has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while Sony R1 Plus has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphones sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor sensor, Autofocus, 8X digital zoom and LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

The Xperia R1 Plus and R1 come loaded with Uplink Data Compression (UDC) to improve data transmission which helps to download web pages up to 50 percent faster, the company claims. On the battery front, the Xperia R1 Plus is also fuelled by a 2,620mAh battery.
