Liverpool's manager Juergen Klopp.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reported "absolutely good news" regarding injured midfielder Adam Lallana, who could return to action next month.

But the Anfield manager insists he will not rotate his squad for his next Champions League encounter.

Liverpool only managed to accrue two points from their opening group stage fixtures against Sevilla and Spartak Moscow respectively and now lie second in their group having scored more goals than the Russian outfit, who have also drawn both of their group games.

Attack: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be given a chance to impress meaning he may start on the left side of attack - although Klopp has the option to play The Ox centrally with Coutinho on the wing.

And the boss could attempt to do that by showing faith in practically the same team to replicate performance but go one better to earn what would be a confidence-boosting win. I think it could even be a late goal for them to get the win, with captain Jordan Henderson coming to the rescue with an overdue goal.

Maribor are winless at home in the Champions League group stages (D3 L4).

Maribor - who have won the title in six of the last seven seasons - are 14 games unbeaten domestically and despite having yet to win in Europe this season, will be no pushovers.

"They are a good footballing team".

United will be challenging for the league title, indeed they may be the only true challengers to City - Liverpool's sole realistic aim is to finish in the top-four again, but the chances of that do not look great with Chelsea and Tottenham both looking much more likely.

He declared that from the games he has watched it is clear that Maribor are "an offensive-minded team" with "offensive players really strong, in style, keeping and protecting the ball".
