A picture of a computer screen at the Blackstone Hotel purports to show the check-in information and was published by TMZ, which first reported the hotel booking. Both rooms that Paddock booked had a checkout date of August 6, the final day of the festival.

Officals briefed on the investigation still don't know the motive behind the Las Vegas shooting and are trying to figure out what the Boston and Chicago research was all about.

Meanwhile, The Boston Globe reports Paddock is known to have carried out internet searches for both Fenway Park and the Boston Center for the Arts, citing an anonymous government official.

USA Today reports that a Chicago police official said: "We are aware of the media reports and have been in communication with our federal partners".

Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock reportedly booked multiple hotel rooms overlooking a music festival called Lollapalooza, which is annually hosted in downtown Chicago. Lollapalooza was held from August 3-6. The reservation of Paddock was extended during the all four days of the festival - the event which drew the attention of hundreds of thousands of people including the daughters of Ex-President - Malia and Shasha. The retired accountant rented multiple apartments at the Ogden, a luxury tower with a view of the Life is handsome alternative music festival.

Days before that, Lombardo said Paddock rented a room overlooking another Las Vegas music festival, Life is lovely.

An armed-to-the-teeth Paddock built a sniper's nest on the 32nd floor of the Mandala Bay Resort and Casino before unloading on revelers enjoying a country music festival.

On 1 October, he opened fire on the country music concert taking place below.

The local administration also declared an emergency at hospitals in Sibbi and Dera Murad Jamali. Balochistan government spokesman Anwarul Haq Kakar too confirmed that it was a suicide attack.

Stephen Paddock, the 64-year-old man from Mesquite, Nevada, who shot and killed 58 people and injured 500 more, was scouting both Chicago and Boston, NBC reported.

Police recovered almost 50 firearms from three locations they searched, almost half of them from the hotel suite.

Boston is ramping up security at concerts and sporting events after investigators learned that Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock had been researching two popular local destinations in the city prior to his deadly attack. Many of those answers still remain a mystery.

"You have to make an assumption that he had some help at some point", Mr Lombardo added.

"I anticipate he was looking for anybody coming to take him into custody", Lombardo said.

Investigators questioned her about Paddock's weapons purchases, a US$100,000 (Dh367,317) wire transfer to a Philippine bank that appeared to be intended for her, and whether she saw any changes in his behaviour before she left the US.

The hotel is cooperating with the authorities on this matter, said Carragher.

Investigators haven't determined whether Paddock was considering targeting the festival, Lombardo said. However, officials have repeatedly said that they have so far found absolutely no links to global terror groups and have cast doubt on the claim.
