And then there's Stonecrest, Georgia. One of the requirements that Amazon requested was access to public transit.

Stonecrest, Georgia wants that headquarters (along with the promised 50,000 "high-paying jobs") so badly that it's prepared to rename a part of its city "Amazon, Georgia" if chosen, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Amazon will pick its second city early next year and expects to begin moving people there in late 2019.

In addition to agreeing to rename the city, Stonecrest's city council voted to de-annex 345 acres of land, which is nearly double the 175 acres Amazon says it would need for the new campus, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Amazon could potentially bring 50,000 jobs to Memphis, which is something Memphis City Council Chairman Berlin Boyd said the city needs.

"There are several major USA cities that want Amazon, but none has the branding opportunity we are now offering this visionary company", Stonecrest Mayor Jason Lary told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Close to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the area is home to roughly 34,000 residents, the majority of which being white-collar workers.

Of course, LaVar didn't need to pull LaMelo entirely out of school just to get him away from a coach he didn't like. The loss of LaMelo from the high school ranks will have a major impact on Southern California basketball.

New York City dominated the labor and transportation categories, but was the lowest scoring city in terms of cost of doing business.

But even with its naming gimmick, Stonecrest still lacks numerous items on Amazon's wish list.

But beyond the theatrics, Amazon is looking for a metro area with a population over one million, a community that is business friendly, outstanding transportation, good internet and excellent higher education.

To pitch the plan, Stonecrest Mayor Jason Lary said, "There are several major United States cities that want Amazon, but none has the branding opportunity we are now offering this visionary company".

City officials said that Amazon could enter into an agreement with Stonecrest for services.
