Quarterback Matthew Stafford is playing his best football since past year and a half, and it could get a stronger with the addition of running back Ameer Abdullah, who missed later half of the last season with a foot injury.

The Cardinals suffered a scare during Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Lions when star running back David Johnson left the game during the second half with a wrist injury. Detroit also had some early issues on special teams, and had too many early penalties. Three Lions converged on him for the tackle and brought him down quickly.

Redfern was hit pretty hard and carted back to the locker room.
