California woman says husband missing after Barcelona terror attack

California teacher Heidi Nunes has been on vacation with her husband Jared Tucker, celebrating their wedding anniversary, according to People magazine. The State Department have not confirmed Tucker is the American who died.

Tucker's brother-in-law, Kalani Kalnui, told ABC News, "I was in contact with [Nunez], he had to use the restroom, they were in a kiosk [to buy trinkets] in the middle of the sidewalk in the middle of Las Ramblas".

About eight hours after a vehicle rammed into a crowd of pedestrians in Las Ramblas, killing at least 13 people and injuring dozens of others, another attack was carried out in the Spanish resort town of Cambrils, where at least one person was killed.

"We got a text from her" Dan Tucker said. Jared is reportedly survived by three teenage daughters, his parents and three sisters.

The displaced are still sleeping outside "because there are not enough shelters for everybody", he said. Some 600 people are still thought to be missing while more than 400 people are known to have died.

Officials confirmed there was one American injured during the attack, but have not released information on the victim. Police killed all five attackers in a shootout.

Thirteen German nationals were injured and hospitalized, "some seriously and still fighting for their lives, " Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer announced Friday. "Everybody loved him. He and I have worked together ... ever since he's been 16 years old", Dan Tucker said, adding that he had a "really nice relationship" with his child.

The Australian government has said four of its citizens were hurt - two men have been discharged from hospital, while one woman was in a serious condition and another in a serious but stable condition.
