Coolpad to announce flagship Cool Play 6 on August 20

Chinese company Coolpad has announced the Chinese market its new smartphone M7 Cool, whose appearance outside of her native country is not planned. The Dual-SIM smartphone Cool M7 is protected with 2.5D curved glass protection. We had earlier reported on how Coolpad was planning to introduce the new Coolpad Cool Play 6 in India on August 20.

As of now, the Chinese company has not made any announcement regarding the global availability of the smartphone. Dubbed as the Cool M7, it holds many resemblances with the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of design.

Coolpad Cool M7 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Camera in terms of appearance copied from the seventh IPhone model past year, but has a quite modern stuffing and runs on OS Android 7.0. It packs a 3,200 mAh Battery with Quick charging support. The phone is now listed in leading online Chinese retailer, and its sale will start on August 26, 2017.

Cool Play 6 has 13-megapixel dual rear cameras which come with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), dual tone LED flash on the back, while in its front lies an 8-megapixel snapper with a f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. At the front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, and 79.8-degree field of view.

The connectivity option include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB 2.0 Type-C. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage space. However, Cool M7 doesn't feature dual-rare camera set up. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the front home button and the device runs on Android 7.1.1.
