Yuvraj Singh dropped for limited-overs series; Ashwin, Jadeja rested

Mumbai batsman Rohit Sharma has been surprisingly named the vice-captain, while opening batsman Lokesh Rahul returned after an injury lay-off.

The bowling department might see some shuffling as Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami are set to be rested.

BCCI on Sunday announced One Day International squad and T20 International for India's tour of Sri Lanka.

Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur have also been called upon in the absence of the prime bowlers. Rishabh Pant also missed the bus.

The ODI series will commence from Aug 20 at Dambulla. The final of Champions Trophy exposed India's slow bowling frailties. India will be aiming to clinch the ODI series as well. Ahead of the ODI series against Australia, which will begin on 17 September, the Men in Blue would be eager to solve the spinner conundrum.
