Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said the club will curb their transfer spending in future years after a huge outlay on players during the close season.

It seems that the first round of "Manchester City" fits in a good game tone and confidence in their abilities. Even Chelsea and Manchester United can not call on half of City's attacking options and if it clicks then no-one will be able to lay a finger on them.

"Next season, for the next three or four years", the 46-year-old stated. "Manchester City will sign one, two, maybe three players but we are not going to do what happened this season." .

"When you get exhausted you have to centre defensively so as not to lose your players".

"They also told me about the city". We have to show them we don't want to let them play too much in our half. In the 34 years since we have experienced highs and very many lows.

"But there's no doubt that the level of transfer fees have increased dramatically".

They were there for the taking and Brighton was a banana-skin tie.

"We probably have to concentrate on the levels that we can affect".

It's unlikely that City will consider bringing Jason Denayer back into the first-team fold, however.

"So yes we'll look at as many good experiences as we can do, and that's for the whole of the season, not just the start".

Next, Sony Pictures also brought some bad news for Bad Boys fans eagerly awaiting a reunion of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence . Unfortunately, they won't have an official new Spider-Man movie to help them, but maybe Venom will work out for them instead.

City have spent more than £200m on a squad revamp following last season's underwhelming campaign.

Benjamin Mendy is one of the three new centre-backs signed by Pep Guardiola this summer.

Asked what his message will be to his players this season, Hughton said: "Have no fear". I assure you that.

"The match against Manchester City, our debut in the Premier League, will also be one of the club's greatest-ever occasions.I want to see my club competing against the best in the land, and to see some of the best players in the world gracing the turf of the Amex Stadium".

"It is not just us". Guardiola's team should win - but Chris Hughton's men will still be riding the crest of the promotion wave and they will make it hard for their opposition in their first ever game in the Premier League.

"We have spent of course, but all the teams have spent".

"We did it earlier", Guardiola concluded. "The club was clever like that because we anticipated what we needed." .

"We were favourites last season and missed out by 15 points so being favourites this season means nothing".

The 20-year-old looks ready for the challenge after scoring 26 goals while on loan at Championship side Bristol City last season.

Having silenced the critics who wrote off him and his team 12 months ago, Wagner will again start this season with few giving Huddersfield a chance on their first appearance in the top flight since 1972.
