During The Defenders' panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, actress Elodie Young and newcomer Sigourney Weaver both affirmed this will be a different version of the character than the one we've seen in Daredevil so far. Featuring thrilling moments from Netflix's Marvel show that unites the leads from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, the trailer establishes some familiar villains and conflicts, alongside some brand-new ones.

Rachael Taylor will be back as Jessica Jones' BFF Trish Walker, as well as Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Jessica Henwick as Iron Fist's kick-ass love interest Colleen Wing.

Chris Froome all but wraps up fourth Tour de France title
Having a time trial on the penultimate day was seen as Froome's trump card given his strength against the clock, and so it proved. At the age of 32 years, the team-mate of world champion Peter Sagan is among the best specialists in the " chrono ".

Marvel's head of television Jeph Loeb had spoken about the difficulties of combining the four heroes for the show set in New York City. She's still very much reeling from the death of Killgrave (and no, she doesn't want to talk about it), and can be found spending most of her time day drinking. From the beginning of Marvel's original five series deal with Netflix, the goal was to establish Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist with their own shows before bringing them together as a team in The Defenders.

Iron Fist was the worst of the four Netflix-Marvel shows, and critics crushed it when it was released on Netflix last spring. For you, I'm happy that The Defenders looks like it'll highlight a character you enjoyed.

The most interesting element of the trailer was perhaps watching Sigourney Weaver represent the forces that "The Defenders" will face-off during the course of the mini-series. On the streaming side, the company has Runaways at Hulu, while on cable, Freeform has New Warriors and Cloak and Dagger as well as FX's Legion, the latter of which will return in 2018 with its second season. That is, somewhat naturally, not online, but there is a new trailer for those that have to wait until next month.
