Longmont weather: Highs in the 80s and showers over the weekend

Winds are going to be out of the east and we are expecting some isolated showers this afternoon. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms. West wind 10 to 15 miles per hour becoming light in the evening.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. South wind 3 to 7 miles per hour. Northwest wind 5 to 7 miles per hour.

Friday is looking at highs in the low 70s, the National Weather Service says. Low near 60F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 miles per hour. In fact, highs could make a return to the middle 90s by mid to late week with just a small risk of rain.
