After gaining huge success of the Redmi 4, now it seems like the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch the successor of its best-selling Redmi 4, which is rumoured to be called the "Redmi 5" in China pretty soon.
A new phone named Xiaomi 5X has popped up on a Chinese poster, revealing all its specifications. The poster reveals that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch display, is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM, and will cost 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 19,999). An image of what's said to be the first phone under the upcoming sub-brand has already leaked (see below).
The higher-end or the more premium version of the Xiaomi 5X may carry the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, as well as 6GB of RAM.

While Xiaomi's Mi series has proved to be quite popular among consumers, they are primarily sold online in most markets. The leak showcases some of the useful specifications of the phone as well. Storage-wise, there will be 64GB of native storage capacity. All of these internal memory storages can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. It will run Android 7.1.1 system and sport dual 12MP + 12MP cameras on the back with Sony and Samsung sensors.
The phone consists of the 12-megapixel camera on the rear and has a 5-megapixel camera on the front and is supported by a massive 5,300Mah battery. That's not bad for a razor-thin metallic device with 7.1 Nougat software purportedly offered out the box, as well as Full HD screen resolution and one of those fancy dual camera setups also in tow.
