Here are some of the new emoji coming to iOS 11

17 July marks the celebration of our small friends on our iPhone's and as a gift from Apple to mark the day, they have released even more emojis for us to choose from. New emoji include Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person and Breastfeeding, and food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. Apple today revealed the new emoji in iOS 11.

The Verge speculated the emojis would be made available for the anticipated iOS11 and MacOS High Sierra updates in the fall.

The World Emoji Day website says the day is celebrated on 17 July because the day is famously displayed on the iOS calendar emoji.

This emoji is one of a group that Apple will release later this year.

As for when the new feature will arrive for your favorite Apple devices, that still seems to be up in the air, as Apple didn't provide anything more specific than "later this year". Emoji have their own worldwide day now, that's how popular they are. The characters that were shown off are part of Emoji 5.0, which is a subset of the Unicode 10.0 specification.
