The London Fire Brigade said it had found a number of fire safety issues at the Chalcots Estate in Camden, north London, and advised that residents should leave the building until they were resolved.

Some 27 high-rise buildings in 15 local authorities across the country have failed fire cladding safety tests in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has announced.

At least 11 buildings in Britain use combustible cladding material similar to that used on Grenfell Tower, officials said Thursday, and safety checks are being carried out on cladding from at least 600 high-rise buildings across the country.

Residential areas in north London witnessed chaos and confusion on Saturday as hundreds of residents from four apartment blocks were forced to evacuate amid fears over the buildings' high fire risk.

Much of the early focus has been on the cladding and insulation that are thought to have allowed the blaze to race up the sides of the building after it broke out, leaving many people with no way to escape.

Fire safety at United Kingdom apartment blocks has been under scrutiny since a fire destroyed Grenfell Tower in west London on June 14.

The council is working with police, firefighters and the British Red Cross to help the evacuees.

Residents - including families with babies and elderly relatives - trooped out of the buildings late Friday night with suitcases and plastic bags stuffed with clothes.

Residents of more than 700 flats in north London's Chalcots Estate housing blocks have spent the night in emergency accommodation after being evacuated over fire safety fears following the Grenfell Tower fire.

Republican Senator Dean Heller opposes health care bill
The bill also scales back federal funding for Medicaid - which is more than half the spending for the program at the state level. It is expected to run the same calculations on number of insured and cost of premiums for the Senate draft bill early next week.

Chalcots resident Shirley Philips told Sky News television she had been given no notice before being told she must leave her home."It's absolutely disgusting", asking why the decision had been left so late in the day.

Six people are still being treated by three London hospitals following the disaster, with two in critical care, NHS England said. It was encouraging residents to stay with friends and family but promised to provide temporary accommodations for those without other options.

Camden council said about 650 apartments were evacuated. But Gould said experts who inspected the complex on Friday informed her they could not guarantee the tenants' safety.

The Metropolitan Police said cladding attached to Grenfell during a recent renovation failed safety tests conducted by investigators.

The council had said just 161 households in the Taplow building on the estate were being "temporarily decanted" to allow up to four weeks of work to the building. "We are looking at all health and safety and fire safety offences, and we are reviewing every company at the moment involved in the building and refurbishment of Grenfell Tower".

"We could not be sure that people could be safe".

Celotex, which makes the RS5000 insulation boards in the tower's rainscreen cladding, insisted no building over 18m tall would be fitted with the material.

The cladding was installed on the 24-storey council-owned Grenfell Tower, which was built in 1974, as part of a refurbishment completed previous year.
