The chief executives' committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) has given a green signal to all the recommendations made by the ICC's cricket committee in May.

It has also been agreed that minimum standards will be followed for the DRS in global cricket.

The 80 over top-up of reviews in Test cricket has been removed.

A number of the approved recommendations were related to the DRS. This includes mandatory use of ball-tracking and edge detection technology.

The other members of the committee were Clare Connor, Adrian Griffiths, Rahul Dravid, David Kendix, Mahela Jayawardene, Richard Kettleborough, Tim May, Darren Lehman, Ranjan Madugalle, Kevin O'Brien, John Stephenson, Shaun Pollock, David White and Andrew Strauss.

Seth Moulton (D-Massachusetts), tweeted that Ossoff's loss "better be a wake up call for Democrats" to look ahead, not backwards. I think our leadership owes us an explanation for what's going on in these four elections but also a plan moving forward.

As a result of reviews not being lost for umpire's call, teams will no longer have their reviews restored after 80 overs in a Test match.

The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) World Cricket Committee in Mumbai, which included Australian legend Ricky Ponting among other cricket luminaries and is chaired by former England captain Mike Brearley, past year suggested that size of a bat's edges and depths should be limited to 40 mm and 67 mm, respectively.

Other changes include the restriction on bat dimensions - thickness of edges and depth of bat.

Also, umpires will now enjoy the authority to send-off players from the field on grounds of misconduct. Just like in the game of Football, this has been implemented in cricket. Once the player is sent off, he/she would take no further part in the entire game, whether it is a multi-day game or single-day.

The new rules also say that the batsmen will be not be declared out if their bat bounces after being grounded behind the crease line.
