Authorities are insisting as many people as possible will be rehoused in the Kensington and Chelsea borough but this is likely to prove hard and many fear they will be forced to live much further away.
It will be a major focus of the investigations into why so many were killed in the devastating blaze last week - with at least 79 people confirmed dead or missing, presumed dead.
With councils across Britain scrambling to reassure residents that their homes are safe or announcing reviews, Hounslow council has written to residents of Clements Court, a 13-storey block containing 78 flats, telling them the development is not considered a fire risk.
Two British officials said Sunday that new exterior cladding used in a renovation of Grenfell Tower may have been banned under United Kingdom building regulations.
Grenfell Tower's exterior cladding, added in 2015, had a polyethylene - or plastic - core instead of an even more fireproof alternative.
She also said the government had now contacted all local authorities in England asking them to identify any safety concerns in light of the tragedy.
A new "expert group" would advise on the lessons for Wales from the fire, Mr Sargeant said.

Other speakers questioned the death toll from the fire, suggesting it was far higher and being covered up by authorities.
"I need to sleep, but I am now afraid", said Moses.
The authority said it had always meant to review its policy on sprinklers later this year, but that it had brought the commitment forward to provide extra reassurance to residents.
He said seven blocks had been "retro-fitted" with fire sprinklers.
Other councils in east London have reassured residents with checks.
Jim Glockling, technical director at the Fire Protection Association, criticised the design process that allows flammable cladding to be used.
King also said that the department has had "so much support for the local community and we can not thank everyone enough".
