The Delhi Police had received intelligence inputs about some terror outfits planning a "London-style attack"- ploughing van into a crowd of people- during the International Day of Yoga celebrations at the Connaught Place here.
Addressing a gathering of almost 10,000 people at Connaught Place, he extolled the benefits of yoga.

According to Mr Kumar, Mr Naidu will be the chief guest, while sports minister Vijay Goel; Mr Baijal; Mr Kejriwal and Lok Sabha member from New Delhi, Meenakashi Lekhi, will also attend the event. Naidu agreed and added, "It is a way of living whose aim is a healthy mind in a healthy body".
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will be organising the Delhi edition of the IYD at Connaught Place in its six radials and inner circles, and at the city's three gardens - Lodhi Garden, Nehru Park, Talkatora Garden - and Children's Park at India Gate. The Government itself believes in the power of yoga and is promoting it for the well being of citizens.The event had two big screens which telecast the live event from Lucknow where Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed yoga with 51,000 others.
