The movie is called Marshall and the first trailer for it has arrived.

He's played Jackie Robinson in 42 and James Brown in Get On Up, and now Chadwick Boseman is tackling another very big figure in history: Thurgood Marshall, the man who went on to become the first African-American Supreme Court Justice of the United States.

Watch the Marshall trailer after the jump. In need of a high profile victory but muzzled by a segregationist court, Marshall is partnered with Samuel Friedman, a young Jewish lawyer who has never tried a case. The movie, which stars Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman and Tony nominee and Frozen star Josh Gad, details the early career of Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Justice of the Supreme Court.

Oscar nominee Reginald Hudlin (producer of Django Unchained) is directing and Paula Wagner (Mission: Impossible, The Last Samurai) is producing through her Chestnut Ridge Productions banner along with Jonathan Sanger (The Elephant Man) and Hudlin.
