Indian sportspersons celebrate International Yoga Day

The first-of-its-kind event was classified as "yoga for peace" and took place within 32 pods of the London Eye on the banks of the river Thames to celebrate the opening event of the International Day of Yoga, marked worldwide on June 21.

Troops from the Indian Army held a yoga session at the Siachen, regarded as the highest battlefield in the world. The event made it to the Guinness World Records with 35,985 participants performing asanas at one venue and 84 nationalities being part of it.
