President Donald Trump says the death of a 22-year-old college student who was detained for almost a year and a half in North Korea is a "total disgrace".
The president on Tuesday said that if Warmbier had been returned home to the U.S. earlier, "I think the result would have been a lot different".

The Warmbier family's "objection to an autopsy was honored", the office said, and only an external examination was performed.
"We can make speculations that there were many unjust and cruel treatments to Mr. Warmbier", he said.
They said Warmbier's severe brain injury was most likely - given his young age - to have been caused by cardiopulmonary arrest cutting the blood supply to the brain. Warmbier returned to the US last week in a coma after 17 months in North Korea.

Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) introduced the North Korea Travel Control Act that would ban any travel to the country unless authorized by the Secretary of the Treasury on an individual basis. If the North Koreans were smart they would release them all to atone for what they did with Otto [Warmbier], as a sign of contrition, a human rights gesture.
