It was rumored leading up to Money in the Bank that Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis were spotted in St. Louis, and they made their debut Sunday night after the SmackDown Women's Championship match.
It was recently reported that Mike and Maria signed a deal with WWE months ago, and it's rumored that they would be joining SmackDown Live.
Kanellis and Bennett started to appear together as an on-air couple going as far back as 2011 for Ring of Honor.
Officer never saw Philando Castile's gun before shooting, prosecutor says
Castile's girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, streamed the immediate aftermath live on Facebook, which brought the case extra attention. Yanez said that he saw Castile, 32, reaching for his gun in his pocket and reacted. (Yanez) fired seven rounds into that auto .
Kanellis said she left to find true love, and that's what she found in her husband Mike, who is now dropping his surname Bennett and using hers.
Regardless of the luke-warm reception to their weird and polarizing introduction, the pair is confirmed to appear on SmackDown Live this Tuesday. It looks like it will be a pretty big show on Tuesday night as it will also mark the return of General Manager Daniel Bryan who has been off of WWE television since mid-April. The only problem is that there are only five women in that match and not six, but then, that tweet has since been deleted. The pair would, later on, join Impact Wrestling, where Bennett performed under the name "The Miracle" Mike Bennett.
Plenty of wrestlers have gone on to more success outside of WWE than they enjoyed inside it, and Kanellis is among that group.
