Macron told reporters following talks with Moroccan King Mohammed VI that France and Morocco are both concerned with maintaining stability in the region, and addressing development challenges on the continent.
Just a month after the 39-year-old former banker became the youngest head of state in modern French history, pollsters forecast that his centrist La République En Marche (La REM) party will win as many as 75-80% of seats in the lower house of parliament on Sunday.
La REM is barely more than a year old and as many as three-quarters of MPs are likely to be political novices, something which will change the face of parliament at the expense of the conservative and social-democratic parties which have ruled France for decades.
Turnout, though, could touch record lows, in a sign of voter fatigue after seven months of roller-coaster campaigning and voting, but also of disillusionment and anger with politics that could eventually complicate Macron's reform drive.
Around half of REM's candidates are virtual unknowns who have never held political office before and are drawn from diverse fields of academia, business or local activism.
In the first round, the abstention rate hit a almost 60-year high of 51.3 percent and is forecast to rise to 53-54 percent in the run-off, much higher than the 44.6 percent in the last election five years ago.
"Go and vote!" Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said on Thursday.
VP Pence hires personal lawyer to respond to Russian Federation probe: aide
Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday hired his own lawyer to represent him in the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation.
Such is Macron and REM's domination that many opposition candidates have appealed to voters this week to elect them simply to make sure there is proper scrutiny and a counter-weight in the parliament.
His party and its allies are tipped to win 400-470 seats in the 577-strong parliament. "It's the same message here as everywhere else: no one should abstain".
This is much better than the Socialists, who finish their five years in power under unpopular president Francois Hollande facing annihilation. Also controversial is his move to strengthen anti-terror legislation, which has concerned human rights groups, but which he believes is necessary following the terror attacks, perpetrated by lone wolves or in a coordinated manner, which have taken place in France in the past couple of years.
A healthy participation rate might dampen the expected victory of Macron's party.
Hard-left parties would capture between 14 and 25 seats and the National Front between one and six with other fringe candidates taking between three and seven.
"This is France, not Russian Federation", far-left candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon said Friday on Europe 1 radio.
His confident start at home, where he has concentrated on trying to restore the lost prestige of the president, and his decisive action on the worldwide stage has led to a host of positive headlines.
