Marcel Keizer has been officially confirmed as the man to replace Peter Bosz as the new Ajax head coach.
"He (Keizer) will shortly sign a contract starting 1 July 2017 with a span of two years", Ajax said in a statement.
"The conversations we had were really positive and I also feel trust from the club", he told the club's official website.
Keizer has previously coached Telstar, FC Emmen and Cambuur. "I was ready to start the new season with Jong Ajax again, but you never know what happens in football".
Director Edwin van der Sar says it was not a hard decision because Keizer "knows the players, the organization and supports the club philosophy".
