Tottenham may be out for revenge when they start the 2017-18 Premier League season at Newcastle United before Chelsea are entertained as the first visitors to their temporary Wembley home.

The 2017/18 Premier League fixture lists was revealed this morning and it gave Tottenham Hotspur an early chance to look at who they face after playing in the Champions League.

Chelsea are the defending champions, while Newcastle United, Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion are newcomers this season.

The first Manchester derby of the season takes place on 9 December - the same weekend that Liverpool are scheduled to meet Everton at Anfield.

Fans attending the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong in July will get an early taster of the Matchweek 2 encounter between Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

The opening weekend is supposed to be an easy one for Manchester City and Chelsea, the bookies' favourites for the top two, while it could be a very demoralising start for their opponents Brighton and Burnley.

Here we'll bring you the schedules for north west rivals Man Utd and Liverpool.

Spurs' games face further problems because of conflicting demands at Wembley and the club immediately announced that their home game with Burnley on August 26 would have to be rescheduled because it clashes with the Rugby League Challenge Cup final.

Newly promoted Newcastle host Tottenham, while Brighton welcome Manchester City and Huddersfield visit Crystal Palace.

The home fixture at Wembley in mid-February falls at the stage of the season where Arsenal habitually begin their annual collapse and could be followed by games in the Champions League round of 16 for Spurs or the Europa League round of 32 for both clubs.
