The tiny liquor store that sold the only winning ticket for this weekend's massive $447.8 million Powerball jackpot has been identified - and it's going to score a $1 million "retailer bonus" of its own, California lottery officials announced Sunday.
The estimated prize is based on a victor choosing an annuity, which pays off over 29 years.
The winnig numbers, AP said, are 20-26-32-38-58, and the Powerball number is 3.
Saturday's estimated $447.8-million jackpot, the seventh largest in Powerball history, beat out the $435.3 million won by a ticket buyer in IN in a February 22 drawing, after a late surge in ticket buying. The cash prize would be $273.1 million. It was a switch that essentially traded lower odds for increased payouts, such as Saturday night's $448 million victor.
They shared in a ticket that matched the five numbers in Wednesday's drawing, but not the Powerball.
His family did not yet make plans on how to spend the $1 million of compensation they will be awarded for selling the winning ticket.
