Harry Kane is eager to become England captain on a permanent basis after skippering his country for the first time in the 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw with Scotland on the weekend.
To come back from 2-1 down with the whole stadium bouncing and the memories that might have brought for the team, they put that to one side and they came through it.
"So to then go again as a team and for no-one to drop their heads, it was a proud moment". The questions around this centre on character, on the ability to withstand events that go against you. You need to give people game time; in the past one or two goalkeepers have given up worldwide football because they haven't had the chance.
"But one lapse of concentration has cost us in the end and instead of getting three points we got one".
"It's one of those balls in between me and Charlie and it's at a good height that maybe Craiggy could have come out, but all three of us have got to look at ourselves that we could have done a bit better".
"The objective is to qualify", he added. We have got leaders in the team and it is just the case that I am wearing the armband.
"On our day we can match any-body".
England struggled to break down their hosts during the disappointing game until the 70th minute, when sub Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain found the back of the net after a good solo run.
Fire Emblem: Warriors shows off its story
Two new original characters, Lian and Zion, are sent to take back the village and put an end to the evil that now roams there. Fire Emblem is a series of turn-based role-playing games, while Dynasty Warriors focuses on action in large-scale battles.
Scotland headed into the game with few expectations after a disappointing 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign so far, whereas England had yet to even conceded a goal, and sat top of Group F.
"Then, most importantly for me, heading into injury-time 2-1 down, I don't see anyone sink to their knees, I don't see anyone hit the floor".
"But we played a team with five at the back, tried to frustrate which is understandable from their point of view".
Scotland were, by now, struggling to get meaningful possession in the England half, with Adam Lallana coming to the fore between the lines.
But with boss Gareth Southgate seemingly now keen to appoint a full-time captain - with the likes of Jordan Henderson and Gary Cahill also in the mix - 23-year-old Kane revealed his intention of taking the armband on a more regular basis. That goalkeeping situation, we need to give players an opportunity, game time.
The former Dundee United player said: "I think we had a four versus two and we could have killed the game off".
"I want to play, I want to play every game", said Kane. Griffiths' profile south of the border, where he had an underwhelming spell at Wolves earlier in his career, is certainly much higher now and Kane chose to accentuate the positives of his contribution rather than examine England goalkeeper Joe Hart's failure to keep them out.
As always, Twitter had something to say about Hart's unusual choice of head-wear and well, we weren't disappointed.
